Thank you madam for this useful peace of Article. This article is meant for the skills needed in a digital age in teaching learning process. The book enables teachers to help students develop the knowledge and skills the will need in a digital age but not so much the IT skills, but the thinking and attitudes to learning that will bring them success.
ReplyDeleteA successful digital conversation for classroom is not determined by the technology but by how technology enables teaching learning more effective.
This article focused on the digital instructional strategies teachers use to enhance and transform students learning.
In our classroom teaching learning situation we are focusing on group discussion, collaborative learning, constructivist approach of teaching, flipped learning strategies and also using different ICT tools which plays important role in enhancing benefit in teaching learning process.
In this digital age of teaching, more focus is given on , how to develop different 21st century skills of our students like: Critical thinking, problem solving, skill of criativity and information literacy through different activities.
Digital resources influences everyone and it's not just students.Digital communication technology has had an undeniable impact on everything,we do at our class room.
In this digital age , teaching-learning process we should encourage everyone to write about the teaching innovations you are using, what educational technologies have you tried? Did they help? Is there too much technology in the classroom and outside? How can we promote active learning using technology and by developing different educational skills of our learners ?
Thank you
Thank you sikha madam for the feedback. As technology is more of skill based, so we have to develop the skills through digital learning. WE communicate and collaborate and in this process also we became independent learner. This covid 19 has shown us a path towards development of digital skills.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much madam for the nice article. This article is purely based on different skills that we have to develop for a digital classroom. Benefits of digital classrooms are a lot more than one can ever think of. They are ideal for educating the little angels about the most basic rules of learning and also help them in retaining their knowledge. They have not only changed the perspective of students towards studying but have also helped the teachers in preparing dynamic multi-media lessons which can be interesting for students. Learning is more of a fun and less of a burden with the introduction of such digital classrooms in education. Digital learning technology enables students to grasp concepts more quickly. To inculcate 21st century skills or preparing for a digital society , we have to develop different skills like communication, problem solving, the ability to learn independently, ethics and responsibility, flexibility, thinking skill ,and knowledge management.
ReplyDeleteIn my point of view, thinking skill , digital skill and knowledge management are highly necessary for both students and teachers to become a part of the digital society.
Thinking skill involves – critical thinking, problem solving, creativity, originality, etc which helps the students to think differently by going beyond the text book. Digital skill means how frequently and smoothly we can use the technology .As it is used in every sector so digital technology needs to be integrated in the curriculum. Knowledge management includes rapid change of new ideas, practices, researches and developments over the internet . To analyse, evaluate ,apply and disseminate information with in a particular context this is the key skill for all.
Hence to fit our children for digital society we have to develop different soft skills among the students with in the classroom by using different technologies.
Madam u have shared a good piece of article regarding the digital learning process which is very much essential to apply in our classroom bcos now the time comes to make our teaching learning process digitalization as we r preparing 21st century learners. For this preparation we need to combine knowledge with skill and that will be easy by using different ICT tools. In case of a learner different types of skills should be developed like problem solving, critical thinking, creativity, ICT literacy, communication, collaboration etc.Knowledge is constantly changing and that changes can be brought forward through digital mode. We should modify our traditional method of teaching but yes ICT can not replace the role of a teacher . For digital learning a teacher must be skilled enough to teach otherwise the process can't be a effective one. By digitalization method students are more interested n curious towards the learning process. If anything wrong in our transaction then again we can rethink and apply another method of teaching. We should always reflect ourselves how to improve and that will be apply in our classroom situation .

Thank You Respected Lipimadam for sharing, " The skills needed in a digital age " . What I understood in brief, sharing knowledge is a vast thing which includes the combination of mastery in content and skills .In my opinion content is easy to understand through various sources but skill can be learned or improved .When I am going for new knowledge it's good to know the best learning practices and when it comes to skills I want to know the best tips and tricks for learning and improving any skill fast .Both the teachers and students develop their skills with the curriculum .In this Digital age , that is in the 21st century skills has a critical role to play because in order to develop these skills our students must have mastery in this field .They must have mastery in the skills like communication skills, the ability to learn independently, ethics and responsibilities, team work and flexibility, critical thinking , problem solving , creativity , digital skills, knowledge management .Skill development is relatively context specific . Really it will acquire by practice . Hence both the content knowledge and skills are tightly related for the digital age . Rasmi Rekha Swain
ReplyDeleteThank you madam for sharing the valuable and useful article with us during this of COVID 19. It really best suited to this situation. Today the world is wondering how to utilise the digital resources most effectively to manage the crisi. The business persons, Educators, mass media and people's from many other secors are working from home to overcome the period but in same way facing difficulty in handelin it. Now we can realise that to biult a digital society we need to be skilled in using and managing digital resources.
ReplyDeleteIn this 21st century we are focusing on developing skills like thinking skill, communication skill, problem solving, digital skill and creativity. These skills are not totally different from each other. We the teacher need to think of the strategies to develop the skills.
Till today we are content oriented but now we need to shift for attainment of skills .
In this article the Canada Report spefified the need of digital literacy, the skills, how to develop skills, LOs and skills and how to measure skills. This explained content and skill are part of knowledge and learn outcomes are nothing but skill acquasition.
We the teacher now should focus on attainment of learning outcome by developing appropriate skill. Skill development is context specific and it works differently in different situation. Acquiring skills and practicing it on regular basis will help to mastery in particular skill. So, fir digital society as a teacher we should explore digital resources with the learners, make them learn in small steps, give them immediate feedback, follow appropriate teaching strategies for learning on right direction and practice it for mastery.
Digital learning needs a series of activities to develop the skills. We should explore it, share it with others, use it, and practice it on regular basis. Now the time came to realise how important it is for us and for the learners who are future of our society.
Thank you

Thanks everyone for posting your reflective thought on digital learning.During this covid 19 phase, digital learning is the only way to interact with students and make learning happen. There are different modes of digital learning. We have to explore those and use suitably in different activities. Digital learning is the means for professional development.
