Dear Friends
We are using blended learning approach mostly in pre service classroom. I am sending you the link on models of blended learning . There are 4 major models- Rotation, flex, A LA Carte and enriched virtual. Let us read these models, reflect on it. We will discuss in PLC and implement in our classes to integrate ICT effectively in our classroom. The link is attached below.Blended learning
Happy Reading

Blended learning is an approach to education that combines online educational materials and opportunities for interaction online with traditional place based classroom methods .It requires the physical prescence of both the teacher and student .In my Preservice class I am using blended learning approach .It consists of both face to face and online approach of learning . Here four models of blended learning is given . Rotation , Flex , A La Carte and Enriched Virtual .Teaching through all the four models is being beneficial to student teachers . Maximum use is Rotational model which again divide into four sub models that is Station Rotation , Lab Rotation, Flipped classroom, Individual Rotation. In conclusion it is a collaborative learning experience , increased accessibility, better communication, successful evaluation .
ReplyDeleteThanks for the feedback. In DIET we are using station rotation, lab rotation and flipped. We did not the know name of the model exactly, but using it in the classroom. Let us think how to make the blended learning more effectively
ReplyDeleteTrue madam. Blended learning gives important to both online and face to face interaction. The objective is to ensure learning. our student teachers are also using few models like enriched virtual and station rotation some time during internship but are not aware of it. We need to link our Activities with the model and explore it more and more
DeleteThank you
Nice observation. Apart from strengthening blended learning in pre service, we have to think of extending it to academic mentoring also.
DeleteThank you madam for strengthening our idea on blended learning by sharing the literature.
ReplyDeleteI am using blended learning in pre service classroom I.e. mostly flipped learning, station rotation but really am not aware of the types of its approaches.flipped learning is really useful and a effective model. during the practice i experienced that it ensures individual participation, increase learning time, strengthens student teacher relation. Like wise each model has its merit and demerit as per the learning situation. We need to explore different approach and use it to know it's effectiveness in our context. I read the material but I need to read more to get clear idea. I couldn't understand A La Carte model. Few of my doubts are:
1. We used two models at a time like station rotation and flipped classroom. The station rotation we used as cooperative strategies. So my question is the station rotation model in cooperative strategies and blended learning is same or different.if same then approach and model is same or why
2.difference betwee Enriched virtual and flipped classroom
Thank you
Yes, together we have to explore A LA Carte model and discuss in PLC
DeleteThank you so much madam for sending the models of Blended learning. Blended learning has many benefits, whether its cutting overhead costs or using online examine practice to lower text anxiety. As a Teacher we need to implement blended learning into our pre-service class room is to
ReplyDelete* promote student ownership of learning.lt prepares students for a tech-centered world. Blended learning cuts cost. It increases collaboration.Blended learning keeps students more interested and engaged.
Madam I need more clarification on this model of Blended learning for making my class more effective.
Thank you.
We have started transforming our pre service classroom process by adopting Blended learning. Let us explore more on this and use it in pre service
DeleteThank u madam for this informative material. Generally we use cooperative learnibg practices in our classroom, which mean a structured way to use small groups to enhance student learning and interdependence But now a days mostly we are using blended learning prpcess that includes face to face as well as on line mode. This strategy is used to change our class more interactive and lively hood.It enables students to learn of their own. They can acess different web resources to get more and more information .we are mostly using station rotation, lab rotation and flipped classroom model.we are giving in class ( higher order objective) and out class (lower objective) activities so that students get pace their own to learn. In flex model it is written that ,"students learn mostly on brick and morter campus"I need more clarity on this.Similarly Ala carte model and enriched virtual model I couldnot understand properly.one more question arises in my mind that how far it can be used in preservice classes. Pl. Clarify it.
ReplyDeleteAs you know, in FC4, we are using blended learning through flipped classroom. We have to choose right blend In PLC, we will discuss about these models
DeleteBlended learning is an approach to education that combines online educational materials and opportunities for interaction online with traditional place based class room method. It required the physical presence of both the teacher and student, with some elements of student control over time, pace and place. Through this process the class room interaction will be more interesting. To know different types of blended learning we have to read more and more and will gather knowledge and experience.
ReplyDeleteBlended learning is a new concept in the field of education. It includes both offline as well as online mode of interactions. Something we came to know about flipped class as it is now practise in our classroom but other models like La Carte model, enriched virtual, station rotation, lab rotation etc. Are quite unknown so it needs more clarification. Actually what are the objectives of these models and in which situation these all are used with certain examples needs to be discussed for better understanding. But inspite of all these innovative technology teacher can't be the substitute of anything. Teacher plays a very vital role for quality Improvement and these are definitely the supplementing factors. Thank u madam for Sharing such a nice thought with us.
