Thank you madam for sharing the link based on SOLE which is a new concept for us. After going through this l got some ideas on SOLE that Sole is one of the innovative teaching proposal to encourage learning in the society of information requiring life long learning. In this link it has been clearly mentioned that how traditional classroom is different from SOLE. In SOLE students are getting Freedom to do everything and to learn everything in their own way . As a teacher we can Use SOLE to develop Critical thinking and Creativity of our students. SOLE can also be used as the way of learning for our class. Setting it up at school is a simple process that can complement the classwork normally undertaken. Now I am thinking to make the space for SOLE activities as part of the regular D.EL.ED course's classwork. we can also use SOLE in our regular Classes by using computer or the internet to explore students creativity and Critical thinking.
ReplyDeleteThank You
Thank you sikha for your feedback. As our students are adult learners, so it will be helpful to us to use this strategy in the classroom
ReplyDeleteThank you madam for sharing the resources on SOLE. It is a innovative pedagogy for us. It is totally child centered. The role of teacher is invisible here. In our class we are directing group formation, activities, presentation. There is less scope for exchange of ideas between different groups while constructing new knowledge. In true sense we don't believe that students can form a learning group of their own and regulate learning activities. From our experience also we say when students sit in their group and move to other group by their own they creates indiscipline. But if we can design the activities for self directed learning then it will help to achieve hiigher order objectives and 21st century skills. We can udu it for oresevipr classroom but for school classroom we need to plan and practice minutely.
ReplyDeleteThank u for the feedback. The SOLE is very useful for adult learner as it allows for exploration ad discovery.
DeleteSelf learning is defined as a process by which individuals take the initiative , with or without the assistance of others , in diagnosing their learning needs , formulating learning goals , identifying human and material resources for learning and evaluating learning outcomes . Hence when such environment created in classroom process definitely it will help in teaching learning process. No doubt I use this method to some extend in classroom but after reading SOLE link, I got a concert idea which is not only help me but also it will help the students of any grade. Thank You Respected Lipimadam for sharing such a nice link , SOLE , a pedagogical process that enhances the educational experience of 21st century learners .
ReplyDeleteThank u for the feedback. As we are dealing with adult learners, so SOLE is an appropriate strategy to be used in our pre service classroom practice
DeleteThank u so much madam for sharing the new strategy for us and for the students. SOLE mainly focuses on self organisation of students for creating a learning environment. It helps the students to explore new ideas by using internet and also share the ideas with in the group. In our regular class we are using group activity, pair activity ,talk for learning like strategies but this SOLE is quite different from those in which classroom is purely child centered and role of teacher not so important. while searching from internet and exploring new ideas ,the students build confidence within himself and also while moving in different groups for sharing his ideas then other group embers also benefited. As a teacher Educator I must apply this pedagogy process in my regular D.El.Ed classes.By using this SOLE, students can develop their plan of action for their class as well as can plan for their own learning strategy. They can get a chance to assess them self for their learning. its one of the best way to achieve 21st century skills among students. But little patience and guidance is required by the teacher ,when it is to be use in primary classes.
ReplyDeletehappy to read that you want to apply this strategy in your class.Read the pedagogy thoroughly and use it in the classroom practices. Reflect it and share your experience
DeleteThank you madam for sharing the link.. This is a very unique idea to explore new knowledge. We knew about different teaching statergies in which teacher plays the important role but this is something different and very much interesting.we can use this in our class to enhance students inqiry skill through ICT. As SOLE is focused on collaborative learning through exchange of ideas between the groups effective understanding of concept is possible..
ReplyDeleteSOLE basically promotes independent learner through use of ICT. We can use it in our classroom as most of them have smart phones.

ReplyDeleteThank you Madam for sharing this new learning paradigm. In this technique child is an active participant and the role of the teacher is only a facilitator.group mobility is another important aspect where the child expresses his ideas which promotes effecive learning. Moreover the child learns in a fearfree environment.

ReplyDeleteThanks madam for giving the idea about SOLE.This link gives me a clear comparison between traditional classroom and SOLE.Since our education system is focusing on child,SOLE will be a new strategy for achieving the goal. The characterstics of a learner centric approach like coperation, sharing, exchange of ideas, curiosity to know &to solve the problem ,freedom, peer learning are reflected beautifully in SOLE ,Really, this new technique will help our classroom to be more effective.

DeleteSOLE is learner centric and the teacher has a very less role in the learning process

ReplyDeleteSOLE is a new innovative pedagogy process which is totally learner centred .In this process the classroom interaction, participation, discussion etc .are very much effective .All the learners are actively engaged and can share their ideas, thoughts, views and also they are competent enough to use ICT.In our classroom situation we can implement this technique for better learning. We are also using pair work, group work, discussion, role play etc.like that this is another method of learning. As we are preparing 21st century learners so in that context this self directed technique is a good one for all .Thank u madam for sharing a new concept with us.

Thank you for the feedback. SOLE makes the learner independent as well as collaborative. Teacher is only the facilitator
DeleteThank you madam for sharing the link based on SOLE. After going through this link,I found that SOLE strategy provides a dynamic space for students to learn ,interact, and develop critical problem solving skills. As we already know that Questioning is a technique which is at the heart of teaching and learning and a key tool which we use to create dialogue with our student. So in this SOLE strategy both Questioning and inquiry with explore activity done which create a platform for the student to think critically and enhances the educational experiences of 21st century learner. This link provides a clear cut idea that how a traditional classroom is different from SOLE and what are the procedure should be followed to convert a traditional classroom to a SOLE classroom. As we say that we have to make our students as a 21st century learner then we have to focus on ICT literacy and a rational utilization of internet. SOLE strategy provide ample of opportunity for the students to explore new ideas with the help of internet and get a concrete view. The beauty of this strategy is providing freedom to the students to learn collaboratively by using the internet.
ReplyDeleteThank u Mahesh for critically analyzing the pedagogy- SOLE.The critical thinking skills of the students shall enhance through this process. Let us use it in our classroom practices.
ReplyDeleteGood morning madam.sorry for posting late. After going through the blog, it's really a method to be adopted in real classroom situation as this will give opportunity and freedom to students to put forward their views and also work to feed their curiosity and find solutions to their problems on their own. This will also help in the amalgamation of creativity and critical thinking among pupil teachers and also create an opportunity to apply this in real classroom situation.
