school Internship programme

Dear Friends


After long days I am posting in the blog. In 2017 we have done few good works for our professional development. This year also we have committed to take up few innovative activities. As our school internship programme is going on, apart from teaching, SBA and conduct of action research is mandatory. We have conducted 3 days pre internship orientation with student teachers. It's time to analyze the peer observation schedule and reflection note. This time many of the student teachers are also integrating ICT in their classroom process during internship, which is a good sign. The classroom processes become more interesting. 

I am sending a link of framework and guidelines of conducting School Internship programme in both D.El.Ed and B.Ed by NCTE. Let us read and give suggestions what other things we can do to strengthen internship programme in our DIET.

    We are following some of the guidelines to conduct our internship very smooth. AS this guideline is by NCTE , if we follow then it will be better.

    True. Let us analyze the reflection note and see whether it really helps in improving the lesson plan as well as transaction

    Is 20 weeks of Field engagement which is proposed in NCTE regulations 2014 is manadatory for our DElEd students or it is just a proposal?

      As per NCTE guideline 2014, NCTE Framework for D.El.Ed syllabus, 20/25 weeks school internship programme is prescribed. In our state we are in the initial stage for revising D.El.Ed syllabus.It is yet to be finalized.

    School experience in Diverse contexts:80% Govt Schools, 20% Non Govt School is a good proposal. If it can be adopted in our D.El.Ed internship program will be better. Our student teachers can get Diverse experiences by working both the school systems.

      Yes. During internship, if our student teachers will go to schools other than Govt, they may expose to different learning environment.

    the NCTE guideline gave a clear vision about how the school internship progfram should be. we are doing most of the activities prescribed in the NCTE guide line during internship. this year we should give emphasis on reflection note prepared by student teachers as well as development of teaching learning resources. role of mentor teacher is also highlighted in the guideline which we need to strengthen in some of our schools and motivate the teachers to participate in our orientation programme.
