Happy Odia New Year to you all. On 10th April we had conducted 17th PLC interface. Both Mausumi madam and Bina madam presented elaborately-the first component of Teacher Education series - Action research . The major discussion points were about meaning of action research, action research and teacher educators, action research cycle, and action plan for research, a research report.
I am sending a link of an article on Action research.Please read it, reflect and give your feedback.
Next PLC will be on reflection in Education. We will use testmoz tool for online quiz in different subjects.In the coming week, all of us will know about this tool and use it in next session.. Three of us - Niru madam , Jayanti madam and I have used it in FC4 and FC3 paper.You must have read the feedback of student teachers in DIET Khordha What's App group..

ReplyDeleteIn our PLC we had a detail discussion on action research with relation to teacher education and use of TESS India OER and keyresources. The case studies discussed will really guide us to conduct action research in our institution.
Beside that the link you send to us gives a very fundamental idea about action research. As a practitioner we should understand why to conduct action research, when to conduct action research and what steps To be followed during the action research.
We should also understand that how note taking of our classes by our own or self reflection will help us to improve our practice by conducting action research.

Thanks Jayanti madam. This year we have to think of the pedagogic key resources and what problems we are facing during classroom transaction and conduct action researches in pre service classroom.
ReplyDeleteMadam this year also I guided some of our students to use pedagogical key resources like small group work, pair work, antalk for learning . But as our students were new to this in practice next time we will first introduce them with the key resources, do some WBA and then will tell to use durinh internship and action research.we will plan for it before the session starts..

Yes Jayanti Madam I agree with your idea. Before internship program we should do WBA on selection of topic basing upon their 1st year internship experience and writing the objectives of their topic.

Thank u very much madam for inspireing me to choose the action research component in our PLC.I have gone through the link & it is aboutCAR(class room action research). There it is very nicely presented on what & how we can do CAR.CAR fit from present reflection to educational research.In CAR Teacher focuses only problems facing in the classroom. CAR helps us improveing our teaching skill.It helps to plan new strategies , compare students learning outcomes.It helps in documenting teaching effectiveness. The seven steps of doing CAR are very effective. It is a systematically examining teaching to gain new insights. All these informations are very helpful for us doing action research.
